Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators configured for Canadian work sites, with the units available in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW capacities at 600V. The models are being offered exclusively to Canadian contractors, the company said. Aggreko describes the generators as designed to meet and exceed local market needs and requirements while providing power for remote jobs.

The generators combine Aggreko technologies for reliable, low-emissions power with hardware configured for Canadian market and regulatory conditions. All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant, covering the electrical and fuel regulations that apply in Canada, according to Aggreko. The company is positioning them for commercial and industrial applications that need temporary power while meeting local rules.

Direct 600V output on the largest model

The 1200 kW model offers onboard 600V capability, which Aggreko says eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. The company states that direct 600V output can reduce project complexity, improve cost-efficiency and minimize potential points of failure. Aggreko sees a particular advantage for large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required, giving customers a competitive edge in those applications.

“Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko,” said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He pointed to large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, along with construction and data centre sectors. Nascimento said Canada has a clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are powerful and precisely configured, and that the Canadian Tier 4 Final generators are well-suited to meet that demand.

Canopy units and large-load packages

The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units that Aggreko describes as readily deployable for immediate energy needs. The 1200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The new additions bolster Aggreko’s Canadian fleet, which offers solutions from 25 kW to 1200 kW and is supported through the company’s service network.

Aggreko said its network of Canadian service centres will support customers in industries including data centers, construction, oil and gas, mining and events. The company’s energy experts will work with those users to deploy temporary power for a range of applications.

Emissions, noise and off-grid data centre power

All three generators are described as providing industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. Aggreko also highlights Canada’s expanding data centre industry as an application. As provincial regulators look to limit how much power data centre operators pull from the grid, the Tier 4 Final generators can provide off-grid energy to keep facilities operational in a way that is minimally disruptive to communities, according to the company.
