Mace Construct will adopt the name Forco after continuing to trade under its current name until the new year, the contractor has said.

The company described the new name as concise, memorable and straightforward to say. The change follows the March separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two businesses, under an agreement that Mace Consult would retain the Mace brand.

Strategy tied to 2030 targets

Forco will be introduced alongside a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through 2030. Mark Reynolds, executive chair, said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to move the industry forward.

He said the new name reflected a commitment to making the company the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds added that while the name and brand were changing, the culture, values and people behind the company’s success would remain. Clients could expect the same teams, the same focus on delivery and the same drive to create durable places and infrastructure, he said.

The move combines a corporate rebrand with a productivity-focused strategy, with the Forco identity due to take effect after the transition period under the Mace Construct name.
