Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has changed its name to RAJA UK, aligning the Bedfordshire-based supplier with the RAJA Group’s brand across Europe. The company said it supplies more than 43,000 UK businesses and has served the UK market since 1998.

RAJA UK is part of the RAJA Group, which was founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher. The company’s name derives from the founders’ first names. According to RAJA UK, using the group name gives customers one recognisable brand across the 19 European countries where the group operates.

Continuity message

Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said the name has changed but the elements customers rely on have not: the same people, product range and next-day service. He added that with peak trading only weeks away, the company has made planning easier through a free tool intended to put a number on the cost of the busiest weeks.

The rebrand coincides with the launch of RAJA UK’s free Prepare for Peak tool. The tool is designed to help businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation, and what they could save, ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.

How the tool works

Users select their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak. The benchmarks combine Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. Users then enter their own figures, such as parcels handled per day and the number of people packing.

RAJA UK said the tool provides an illustrative estimate rather than a quote. The name change and the planning tool therefore address two separate tasks: presenting a single group brand to UK customers and giving them a way to model peak-season packing costs before the busiest period.
